Re: A perfect example of why Wikipedia editors want to keep the Daily Mail out of Wikipedia

I agree, the Scottish wikipedia fiasco is going to probably be a permenant problem unless they wipe his edits and start over. That will never happen. AmaryllisGardener was unquestionably operating socks, and some other "editorthings" on sco.wp were also clearly incompetent. https://meta.wikimedia.o...

Re: Katherine Maher's dark side

Maher is also described on this page, which will give you an idea of the company she keeps: https://www.ned.org/events/governments-gatekeepers-and-journalists/ Still don't understand why someone with this background wound end up running the WMF, which is anything but "pro-democracy" and "CIA friend...

Re: A perfect example of why Wikipedia editors want to keep the Daily Mail out of Wikipedia

Wikipedia has so far been able to bully reporters into not doing much in depth criticism, but I think that time is coming. I figured the Qworty mess would have finally broken things open. I was wrong. Even at the height of Qworty, the Jimbo-pologists were still out in force. Remember this last year...

Re: Is wikipedia really the cesspool everyone ways it to be here?

Are you so stupid as to believe anyone here buys that the path to Admin on Wikipedia is content creation? And that it woud take thousands of edits (I can't be bothered to check, but I suspect your exact words were that you had made "millions" of edits as a very proud but very sad little socky wocky...

Re: A perfect example of why Wikipedia editors want to keep the Daily Mail out of Wikipedia

Thatcher killed the unions, Johnson can kill Wikipedia. Won't happen. Sorry. Even Tories use the thing. Oh btw, about the Guardian : As was noted above, Wales tried to get Seth Finkelstein fired from The Guardian, and apparently succeeded. After Finkelstein's departure, The Guardian became remarkab...

Re: Inside Wikipedia's endless war over the coronavirus lab leak theory

1. Only an idiot thinks a 20 year old is equipped to serve any kind of Supreme Court type role. 20??? Several high ranking administrators made it at age 12-14...... Wikipedia is not an encyclopedia, it's a news aggregator. More like a dork aggregator and comic-book reference. "News" is optional. Al...

Not at all surprising. Again: even the Mob doesn't have a code of silence as strong as these pathetic wiki-nerds. They cover for each other even when they KNOW it will result in their own punishment. And none of these "secrets" are all that important. Anyone wanna place bets that Beeblebrox will end...

Re: Crap or questionable articles

Stumbled over a fine example of Nerd Patrol obsession. Where are the "deletionists" when shit like this is happening? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stardust_the_Super_Wizard A LONG article about an obscure 1940s comic-book character. Insane obsessive detail. Written almost entirely by two accounts, ...
