Are they still circling the drain? Just curious....

For serious discussion of the "major" forum for Wikipedia criticism and how it fails.

Remember this?

Did he install any more moderators? FUCK NO. It's still the same assholes. And has been for something like seven years.

Otherwise there's the same old gossip about admins being shitty, petty sniping, and "excuses" for on-WP abuse. At least Tim Davenport is getting a little more disgruntled with the cult. Vigilant is very scarce, of late.

WPO's forum might as well be the AN/I talkpage.

Well, at least they put a new item on the blog. (Does anyone here give a rat's ass about French Wikipedia?)

This is how it goes, it all becomes like a club, and they don't want any new members in the Seats of Power. As I wrote a while back, you could have a meeting of Wikipedia critics and it could take place in a Shakey's Pizza that is also holding a child's birthday party.
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

Actually there could be enough to fill a moderate sized hotel conference room. Problem is, a large quantity of them are either paranoid schizophrenics, conservatives, or undefinable political crackpots angry that they were b& from the "glorious Wiki". Most such people would not show up for a WP criticism conference for fear of being "doxed, harassed, outed or etc.". They tend to have axes to grind and not a serious interest in fixing WP.

In the past year I've had 5 people (usually claiming to be "journalists") email to ask about getting a copy of the book wiki. In EVERY case they demanded I put it all on Dropbox or Mega so they can snag it totally anonymously. Those upload sites are a huge PITA to use and my internet connection is disgustingly slow and not reliable for large uploads. So, I would tell them to give me a postal address (anything, even a PO box, I don't care) and I'll send it on a flash drive, and never hear from them again. It's insulting to be the recipient of this pathetic secret-squirrel act from alleged "journalists". Bloody kooks.

Looks like there's a party being organized at ArbCom for them in time for the harvest celebrations.

Bring your own pies!

lol

This shows EXACTLY what various Wikidiots are actually thinking.
I don't expect arbcom to do anything about the existence of WPO nor to ban people from publicly using both websites (and I wouldn't want that obviously!). Sincerely, Dilettante 23:23, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
Yes, I could indeed picture Arbcom "ordering" Wee Billy to shut down Wikipediocracy. And that little fart might do it. Because he's a dues-paying member of that big happy Wiki-Family. Sucker.

Remember BADSITES? It was a rotten, corrupt excuse for an arbitration--partly because Mantanmoreland was pushing to get Judd Bagley silenced. (Mantanmoreland was biasing Wikipedia content at the time. He didn't like to see someone pointing it out. And you know what happened to him.) The arrogance of the little shits who run WP can be boundless at times. Twist enough arbitrator arms and mebbe you can get a website that criticizes your website CENSORED. (Or so they delude themselves.)

Maybe even totally out of existence, if the other site is run by a toady. And that one basically is.

And because they love tedious bureaucracy more than they love their stupid encyclo-thing, it was eventually twisted into this.

PS: the arbitration request was closed and vanished. Poof. Difficult to find now.
