An article recently posted to the New York Times discusses a new interactive map that was created, in part, using data available in Wikidata and open streetmap.

On one hand I Personally think this is a pretty cool use of the available data and uses the data to show an interesting timeline.
However, I also see this as a potential problem in disguise. This map was created using data about people who are long dead so there's no risk of libel or harm to living people. If someone were to create this using, say, porn actress locations (since this topic was mentioned in the news recently also); what if it was done showing locations of elementary school locations? There are a lot of potential uses of this type of interactive mapping that could be done by someone for less than honorable reasons and this sort of thing helps show how it can be done.
