Articles Wikipedia should have--but doesn't.

Good, bad, biased, paid or what-have-you. There's an endless supply.

There are pop culture magazines from the 1970s which are missing. Some of them had sections where teenagers could meet rock stars. Quite creepy.

Some are listed here, but don't have articles.

Barack Obama's college girlfriend and love letters where he fantasies about sex with men: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-styl ... 06683.html

I don't know if their should be an article on Alex McNear or on the collection of love letters.

The Justin Bieber "n-word scandal". TMZ bought a leaked tape of him saying it repeatedly while singing. TMZ then worked out a deal with his management and buried it for years. It would have ended his career if they didn't make a deal.

There's a possible reason for this general disinterest in teeny-fan magazines. You know who Newyorkbrad is? One of Arbcom's longest serving "idiot geniuses". He's NOT a "good Wikipedian" no matter what the other Wikipedians think. (He recently got his own article, despite not wanting it....)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ira_Brad_Matetsky
https://www.dorflaw.com/our-team/ira-b-matetsky/

Ira's parents Harry and Amanda Matetsky were the editors of Teen Beat magazine for many years. You cannot read about this on Wikipedia because Ira does not want to see it on Wikipedia. There was an attempt to add it to the WP article and it was oversighted, leaving no traces. And I suspect other teenybopper publications receive poor coverage on WP for related reasons--none of the people who ran those stupid things want to be connected to such creepy nonsense. They catered to insane stalkers, until it became a "legal problem". Not sure if legal issues killed them off, or if the internet is a far better way to stalk people.

You have to dig VERY deep to find the Matetsky link to Teen Beat.

Are you joking? The Guardian spent YEARS stabbing Mr. Bieber in the back. They might lean very left, but at the core they are no different from other Fleet Street-style tabloids. Celebrities are fresh meat.

Maybe there should be an article about Dr. Keith Bell?

The only place he is mentioned on Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Neilson
Neilson met her current coach and husband, Dr. Keith Bell, a Texas sports psychologist, in 1984. Bell successfully argued in August 1984 to the International Swimming Hall of Fame that Neilson had been "retired" for nine years, despite still participating in U.S. Masters Swimming. This made her eligible under the ISHOF's four-year retirement requirements and Neilson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1986.
Dr. Bell is actually notorious.............for suing people. He's been called a "copyright troll".

https://copyright.byu.edu/the-bell-stri ... -41st-time
Since then, Bell has filed a different lawsuit against another educational institution, making this his 41st such lawsuit of which we are aware.
There are also many listings of said lawsuits on justia.com and Pacer. He's quite aggressive.

Does that not make him "notable"?

This is up there with the 1980s notorious person "Robt. T. Calhoun" who was mentioned in Ivan Stang's High Weirdness by Mail and who has fallen off the map entirely. Stang claimed Calhoun was "obnoxious" and had "associates" and that they fled the country some time before the book hit the printers in 1988, but I don't know what they did.
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

In a bit that didn't make it to the online-website version of the book.
