there is a thread at wikipediocracy called "vandalism may persist" or something. i cant find a similar thread here so if there is one, feel free to merge this post there.

Jake Kaminski, archer and Olympics participant. married to Amanda, but according to wikipedia, his wife's name is Heather. who inserted this falsehood into the all knowing oracle? Heather.kaminski, seven years ago. Hhommema removed the correct name about six months before.

also, Bpillow062 inserted the assertion that this 34 year old archer won the Bronze Medal in the "1964 Goldeneye", whatever that is.

eta: the edit by Bpillow062 was reverted a month or so later

(edited)
over a year and it's still there. maybe he really is married to "Heather Kaminski".
a few days after this update, the vandalism was removed by Ltbdl. so the vandalism only lasted from March 24, 2017 to April 7, 2024, or about seven years... well done, wikipedians. i wonder how long it wouldve lasted had it not been brought up here
looks like his article was vandalized again on September 19 (unless he really is married to Heather Kaminski), by an IP in the US state of Georgia. so Ltbdl's repair lasted a little over five months. good job wikipedians. :jerkoff:

probably unintentional, but this edit has caused this sentence to be displayed on wikipedia since July 2, 2023:
In 2021, Almena pled guilty to the 36 counts of and was sentenced to 12 years in prison and released for time served.

This guy was forced to make a VIDEO about the non-existence of a Welsh king called Anwn Ddu. Who apparently was a hoax going back 200 years.

And people keep putting Anwn back.....

BONUS: WP has an article about the original hoaxster. It doesn't mention Anwn, but it does go into detail about a number of "manuscripts" and poems that he forged, along with a "Druidic" alphabet that he apparently invented.

Whoever run the "Cambrian Chronicles" YT channel seems to find a lot of issues with WP's coverage of Celtic history. Not that anyone cares--other than a few other Celtic history buffs? The Wiki-Fools should be thanking him for finding these errors. But no.
