Oh no he ain't. I've seen far crazier histories. As mentioned on WPO, he either runs a client-side bot when he's not actually at the computer, or he's sharing the account with several other people diddling the same content. Or possibly both.

Does no one remember SlimVirgin's insane 72-hour continuous edit "sessions", or the robotic histories of maniacs like Zach Harden, Zzuuzz, or Can't sleep, clown will eat me? Or hundreds of others. Usually either jamming some POV into specific content, or patrolling. Machines or people? No idea. Go and see for yourself.

It's even worse on Wiktionary. Many of those users make Wikipedia look sane in comparison. Commons can also be similar. I am working on a draft about how they recently decided to explicitly allow a user to create sockpuppets and vandalize.
