and speaking of incompetence.....
A friend in Australia was complaining on email about the TAFE system there (that's what they call the vocational school system). His disgusted comments about the one in Adelaide made me wonder how Wikipedia was handling it. Well....I discovered it was REALLY bad.

Despite existing since 2005, it says almost nothing--except for a paragraph about a 2017 scandal. It used to be a lot bigger and had a list of all the many, many TAFE SA facilities with links (it's a huge organization), but some lunatic removed most of it in 2018.
Look in the little cracks of WP and you will find deletionist assholes like "Mean as custard". Whilst deleting gigabytes of "WP:ADVERT" material, usually deservedly, the mechanical little prick also removes some useful and legitimate information. Been doing it constantly since 2009 and is never even noticed, except for one accidental block in 2013.....
