He defends the WMF, he defends the system, he defends the rules and the rule structure, and he even defends most of the users. He basically defends everything and everyone associated with Wikipedia, except for the handful of admins and power-users there who know who and what he is from having dealt with him at some time or other.
By way of analogy, there's no real difference between what he does vs. someone who claims the NFL would be a "really great" sports organization if they would just get rid of that one guy on the Philadelphia Eagles who celebrates in the end zone too much when he manages to score a touchdown, and hey, why don't I just write an unending series of book-length blog pieces about why I'm so uniquely and supremely qualified to say so. No real difference at all.
In your fucking DREAMS is any of this shit true.
Why do you bother?
You are beyond an embarrassment at this point. If one of your troops is not readying themselves to knife you in the back as we speak, a mercy killing of the Mad King, then I will doff my cap and marvel at whatever it is you did to crush their dignity and self respect, and get them to silently go along with what is, at this point, not even defensible as an interpretation of facts.
Vigilant aside, I had assumed the rest of them hadn't yet quite checked out of the fact based analysis business, and thus any and all shortcomings were due to bona fide limitations in their abilities. But they sure as shit can't be this blind to basic reality.
But if they are, would it be such a shock?
Much like Wikipedia editors, you've been bending the truth for so long, I guess you just thought, fuck it, why are we even bothering to stick to the mere region of the observable universe?
They love Obama, there's nobody there to stop them expressing their love for Obama, so they wrote him a love note of a biography.
You hate me, so.....
(oh look, another fact based analysis of the shortcomings of Wikipediocracy)
Oh, and whenever you're ready, we are awaiting your press release on the latest Obama / Sanger developments. It will presumably seek to explain how Larry is insane, and show that what can be read in black and white on Wikipedia, the opinion of actual Wikipedians, is somehow also wrong.
Tough gig. I quite understand if, yet again, this will be something you pass on.
HTD.
