Damn. You're right. For the past 4 years Stephen Harrison has been almost an "embedded journalist" generating happy-talk for Slate about Wikimedia/pedia. I had not even noticed most of his past "propagandizing" (although I admit to not reading Slate regularly anymore--the general quality of Slate's writing has gone way downhill.) He often talks like a paid shill. How NICE that WIkimuddle finally got themselves a fanboy writing on a semi-major news site. Pity they got him just as Slate's readership and traffic started to decline in a serious way.

He repeats the happy parts they WANT him to repeat, such as the "English Wikipedia’s 1,194 administrators" bit, witihout mentioning that only about 400 of those administrators are actually DOING ANYTHING in recent years. He keeps mentioning Molly White too. Why?
Even when he has BAD news to report about Wikipedia insider crap, he tries to put a "happy spin" on it. And fails. Because major Wiki wars are usually stupid and petty and evil beyond all belief.

ha ha, as expected, a shameless display of cowardice and suckuppery. Instead of just saying that being biased against a trans editor for being trans is not allowed by policy (after all, if they do good work, who cares?)
But nooooo......the Wiki-Asswipes have to make it into a long, screeching "public" humiliation display. It isn't enough to desysop and eternaban Athaenara. They have to stand in line and repeatedly shit on her head. It's a censorious Head-Shitting Club. And no one other than WP insiders will even know this happened, so it's not really a "public" flogging, is it?
Athaenara was an administrator since November 2007. Fifteen years. If they will do that to her (a relatively non-controversial and low profile admin) they will do it to anyone. Even each other. Crazy fuckers. Hypocrites. Etc.
