He is standing for another term as Arb, no big surprise really.
Wasn't the hardest thing in the world? What the fuck did he even do? Other than his usual.I really can't [run for ArbCom] right now--I have too many obligations, and I'm way too incidental on Wikipedia these days. Being on ArbCom wasn't the hardest thing in the world, but it requires some concerted effort, and if it hadn't been for people like K-stick and esp. GorillaWarfare, you'd have really noticed that I was just hanging on. Drmies (talk) 02:55, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
What a surprise, he only learned what ArbCom does, after he got elected. What a fuckwit. Anyone who read the goddamned policy pages knows this is what they do. He can't even work CU properly, still can't, and yet he still applied for this role. Twice! One of the things I learned is that much ArbCom work is done behind the scenes. Some of that is administrative, governing the use of CU and alternative accounts and stuff like that. Other issues are highly privacy-sensitive, and when I was on ArbCom we dealt with a fair number of them.
Drmies is clearly not interested in transparency, anyone who takes even a passing interest in what he does, who he is friends with, would figure that out. Ask him how ArbCom decided Malik Shabbaz was no longer a threat, that he could have his tools back, no questions asked. He will not answer you. He will not answer any questions that reveal his absolute unfitness to be even a basic editor. No surprise he doesn't have a platform either, since he didn't want the fucking job four days ago. Fucking cowboy. That's him all over.Like others, I don't have much of a platform to run on, though transparency is one of them
Ah, here we go. We all know what Drmies considers harassment - any and all requests for him to explain actions that would totally discredit him if he gave true and honest answers, answers that would totally disprove this myth that he is trustworthy, that would expose for all to see, his pernicious and all pervading corruption.OK, I maybe have one thing to offer to you: I want the WMF to be much more proactive when it comes to harassment. And I'm not talking about civility, which is a big thing but cannot be pursued by the WMF or easily mandated by Arbcom--I mean the very real online harassment some of our editors experience from various trolls and socks. I've asked for this repeatedly, already when I was on the committee, and will continue to do so.

As I wrote in here somewhere recently, I can't abide seeing innocent people get hurt. That's always been a Wikipediocracy thing. You've got to be a real dick to be OK with it as a HTD strategy. There's no conflict between wanting Drmies taken out and Wikipedia destroyed, since one is a product of the other. Or more accurately, one is the embodiment of the other. There is a conflict in letting innocent people be victimised by Drmies, in the hopes it destroys Wikipedia. It is pretty likely it won't - why else is Carrite such an admirer of his? Drmies and the scum like him are what keeps Wikipedia limping along like a diseased dog, a rabid, mangey, crazed animal. If getting rid of the disease cured the dog, I'd be fine with that. But it seems obvious this dog is just going to keep licking its own arsehole, and getting all manner of new diseases, so it needs to be destroyed.sashi wrote:You always puzzle me CN with your Hard Thryambic Dancing. If Drmies will cause the collapse of the WikiEmpire, why aren't you fiddling his campaign song?
