Actually, I thought this site withered away, but here you are - congrats on the comeback! As you probably know, it doesn't matter what we do on Justapedia because any material that opposes or neutralizes a WP article will be considered "right-wing" or "far right" by progressives and the left in general - human nature. Justapedia has a variety of editors, including admins from WP, and that's a good thing. Our mission is to provide factual information, diverse points of view, steer clear of the pitfalls that come with breaking news & recentism, and be careful of how much journalistic opinion we include from the mainstream echo chamber. That is one of many ways we will differentiate from Wikipedia.

Unlike the WMF, our mission is neither a "movement" nor is it about "social justice". Our focus is on building a factual encyclopedia to preserve true history. We have plans for our community of editors, something more along the line of fun things in the future, and hopefully some financial perks for the deserving...just need more donors. We will just have to see what develops.

I guess Justapedia is a fun place to waste time for now.

It's potentially fun because it's not crowded.

I assume if it ever became popular (to edit) it would become not fun, perhaps even worse than Wikipedia.

Really, the main issue is SEO. All of this copied material is gonna bury all the articles, as mentioned earlier.

That was not fun very fast. It needs more active admins, no automatic draftspace for new articles (its new just let new articles through), less articles, less race obsession, more transparency about leadership (real, full names), and a license that bars English Wikipedia from copying it. Additionally, its slow and the CSS gets messed up often. They did a good job importing all the code/template mess though. I assume that was a nightmare. Also, what does "just" in "justapedia" stand for? Justice? Just?

I like to think it stands for the Justice that all wounded Wikipedia and Everipedia editors have been seeking.

I am resurrected on there and hope to resurrect many more. https://justapedia.org/wiki/User:Paul_Bedson

Thank you for the warm welcome back.

I loved this board, it's right on point. I shoulda contributed more.

Kumioko has been keeping up appearances in his own corner I see.

I think I have overtaken both him and Martin from the Netherlands with their SanFran Bans, even though I never got that high, I got the Global Lock Championship title and also the Wikipediocracy Ban Championship because they banned me for being a Nazi supporter. :!: :?:

After dedicating my life to defeating Nazis after all my family died fighting Nazis in the Battle of Paris...

The irony....the projection...of the Wiki-Nazis....Image

If the image ever gets taken down it says: information + disinformation + lies = truth, on a rules page on objectivity

Hilarious, but typical. Personally I would be a bit curious about what they claimed marked you as a "nazi". This doesn't really help. Being pro-Russia (in early 2022, things have changed a LOT since then) and fighting with completely low-grade pricks, like Andythegrump and James Alexander, also doesn't explain it.

Wee Billy used the same pretext on others to get rid of them, because they were deadly-serious critics of the Wikipedia cult and threatened to reveal information the WP insider twats wanted under wraps, like "outing" anonymous admins and revealing deleted edits. It's STILL the cheapest possible shot and clear proof that Wikipediocracy is hopelessly compromised.

It's always a bad thing when a website that claims to "shine a light into dark corners", is run by a moderator who is obsessively anonymous and secretive. Plus lets Poetlister, one of the most demented Wikipedia fanboys I've ever seen, run around loose.

Plus Beeblebrox. He seems kind-of-okay with paid editing now, judging by this comment....
So, if I've got this straight, you can find 15 Wikipedia articles that already fit these criteria, edit them four times, and maybe, just maybe, if you do it on the right day, you could get three bucks for your trouble. If you actually created them from scratch, I would think it would take a minimum of two hours per article, so you'd earn about ten cents an hour, if you're lucky. Meanwhile paid editors over on Wikipedia are pulling down like 2K per article, at the low end.
When did Everipedia become this iq.wiki crap anyway? What good is a wiki about crypto-things that allows the crazed promoters of crypto-things to control the content? Nevermind, don't think I want to know.

PS, Mr. Bedson, indulge me and suggest a couple of changes to whoever runs Justipedia. Limit the size of articles, and ditch or revise things copied from Wp that have the paid-editing stench. And don't get involved in crypto nonsense!!

I hope they turn out better than Wikipedia, and if that's their intention then best of luck to them. I've thought about editing there but I no longer believe Wikipedia's model will work without changes. From what I understand, it's a fork of Wikipedia, and I probably won't volunteer my time unless they thoroughly overhaul Wikipedia's policy and include specific, unambiguous rights for editors (see my critique of Wikipedia's policy, starting with this reply and continuing over the next several pages viewtopic.php?p=29836#p29836). I'm not exactly convinced by https://justapedia.org/wiki/Justapedia: ... ifferences.
