Amidst the drama at Justapedia, I asked Grok on alternative projects or Wikipedia forks which people can switch to besides Justapedia and Citizendium, and it answered that there's another little-known Wikipedia fork project by Fred Bauder which is known as Wikinfo.

From available information Fred Bauder is a former Wikipedia sysop who was apparently a "social democrat", however his exact political positions (especially in terms of foreign policies) can't be determined for sure. Anyways, are there any indications from past knowledges/experiences and so on about his character which can help determine whether he can be the good one to work with and hopefully get another competitor project up and running in preparation of Wikipedia's potential demise?

Re: Wikinfo by Fred Bauder
No he is not. He is a crazy old man. A disbarred lawyer who lives in Creston, Colorado, a notorious hippie hangout. He spent years sucking up to Wales and was "rewarded" with oversight/checkuser powers. Jimbo appointed him to the first version of Arbcom in 2003, where he mumbled and flopped around till 2007. It's alleged that he basically ran Arbcom single-handed in 2006 and 2007. No one could stand to work with him....apparently.Ognistysztorm wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 12:27 amAmidst the drama at Justapedia, I asked Grok on alternative projects or Wikipedia forks which people can switch to besides Justapedia and Citizendium, and it answered that there's another little-known Wikipedia fork project by Fred Bauder which is known as Wikinfo.

Ran for Arbcom again in 2018, and was desysopped for fighting with others.
Oh the things I could tell you about Fred. You can start with his Dramatica article, which needs updating.

By the way, on this from Tamzin, a simple stroll through Justapedia like my user page and talkspace page would make you see that the Reddit thread OP is far from the only one who are "infatuated with my work". It's more likely for the phenomenon for "multiple people chasing one MO" to occur in Asian countries, particularly East Asian ones, due to the cultural systems along with the fact that many countries there have military conscription for young people. I digress.
