List of global bans placed by the Wikimedia Foundation
  • 2012: 1 (but that page only exists since 2015)
  • 2013: 0
  • 2014: 2 on the same day, December 3rd
  • 2015: 8 (gaining traction)
  • 2016: 6 (steady)
  • 2017: 7 (steady)
  • 2018: 9 (it's climbing)
  • 2019: 16 (that shot up quickly!)
  • 2020 12 (until July 27th – that was FAST!)
I am not judging whether the bans were reasonable or not (details are hardly known anyway), just showing that they have increased over the years.

The last one is Flooded them with hundreds (whatever that means). I am sure I have heard that name somewhere…

Yeah, that's quite hilarious. The Wikidiots aren't satisfied with banishment, now they have to add "public humiliation via stupid Global Ban" La la la.

Most of this is "ancient history". One item worth mentioning, for its sheer evil: Erika "BrillLyle" Herzog was secretary of Wikimedia NYC until 2018, when an "unexplained disappearance" occurred. Far as I can tell she'd been fighting with that worthless pus-bag Andy Mabbett, who managed to talk Bbb23 into "purging" her. Explains many things. She was not a bad content writer and they STILL need more female editors to work thru the massive backlog of undocumented prominent women thru history; this seems as if sexist piggery took over. Since many revs disappeared, we will never know the full story.

Speaking of Brill, I think she is one of the drivers of the new appeal process the WMF is creating for their office actions. It wouldn't surprise me to see her WMF ban lifted in the next couple months.

If that happens, we will have hard confirmation that Bbb is "dead meat" in their twisted little pocket universe.

Mabbett will not be affected. He's done so many rotten and stupid things that a list would be impossible to compile. Including a very early RFC, plus two arbitrations--both of which he somehow survived. Wikimedia UK seems to have a boner for Andy's fat mouth.

I'm actually considering submitting an unban request to the WMF myself once it starts. Not that I think it'll get approved. But it will givevme an opportunity to gain some understanding in how the process works.

+ Meganesia / Ashurpedia / Assyriandude / Cirflow, since 4 August 2020

Pretty much one WMF ban per week at this point.

now they just need to start banning the ones that are the actual problems. Some examples include: anyone who's been on arbcom, anyone who works in the WMF T&S section, beyond my ken, binksternet, beeblebrox, floquenbeam, etc.

Beeblebrox sounds much like BeeBleBrox23 → Bbb23.

And Floquenbum → Floquenbbbum23 → Bbbum23 → Bbb23.

Won't happen. The giantest asshole (Jimbo) installed other giant assholes, who installed lesser assholes because they needed to keep control of an uncontrollable mess. So they opted for incompetent feudalism. If Wikipedia were a feudal farm the peasants would be starving right now--except of course they have become very good at begging money from the general public.
