eric babour "Found I was fighting with crazy people - on a flawed platform - no publisher wants to speak against Wikipedia"

Looks like the "Light Side - Sanger" lost and the Dark Side won!

http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Archive:Fundamentals

The nature of Sanger's project.

The ultimate goal of the Citizendium community, a global group of collaborators, is to create the most reliable and largest encyclopedia that they can. If an "approved" or "certified" version of an article is available, that version will be presented to the public by default; in that case, viewing unapproved versions will require further mouseclicks for the public, and such versions will be clearly labelled as unapproved, and users will be instructed not to rely upon them.

Wikipedia

--Roots from Ayn Rand, "objectivism" (kool-aid-type-libertarian-ism) and porn

--Cult Like Organization with strange people and Jimbo being the root of the poison tree

--All the nonsense at Wikipedia is covered up - even though its out in the open for all to see

--Beta M Child Pornography facilitated on Wikipedia, up to 2012, with hardly a trace of the scandal remaining

http://wikipediareview.com/lofiversion/ ... 62-50.html

--Wikipedia has scandals every month and nobody cares; Wikipedia is totally intolerant when it comes to criticism . - Radio host? put on a global ban list without editing anything! folks are too afraid to confront the nonsense of the Wikipedia project - in the press books and elsewhere

Not sure Wikipedia ever HAD a "light side". Jimbo wanted random crazy people to grind it, he pushed Sanger out because Sanger wanted to encourage a higher-quality oriented culture (HOW DARE HE), and eventually Wales got what he wanted--crazy grinders running everything.

Although frankly, they have basically pushed Wales out too. Really doubt he has any political power over it today--admins don't jump to do His Lord And Master's bidding whenever he wants something covered up or someone kicked out.

On the most edited pages (#220) I noticed Jimbo holding "court" and playing Yoda

For your information: Jimbotalk isn't really a place where "policy is decided" anymore. It's just a kiss-our-former-leader's-ass display ground. A minor suck-up bulletin board. People asking for assistance or making suggestions there are quickly jumped on by the Faithful Followers. Who usually squabble for a while and then deflect. He is a large wooden statue they worship.

And why did you link to "Most frequently edited pages"? It has been dead and not updated since 2008. The only "updates" now are endless vandalism and reverts thereof.

If you want to post links to Jimbo "holding court", look a little more closely. Go thru his recent contributions and look at the changes he made that were NOT on his talkpage. You will see occasional rare examples of him "lecturing" people on how to "edit". Usually these comments are unhelpful and don't defuse arguments, and often make the content WORSE. But he gets away with them. Because he's the Former Fearless Leader.

Two recent examples:

Sorry I did see the list was of 2008 vintage.. thats how i found out that Jimbo had a talk page. It's all very narcissistic of him.

You raise yet another point regarding some talk pages.. there are actually gangs of folks that "monitor, and thus circle the wagons around administrator talk pages."

I glanced at your link.. I will take a more in depth look later..
