Congratulations Justipedia, you are hosting a copy of English Wikipedia from late 2022.
Yeah but some were updated and some new pages were created ever since. The job of updating them all to present day is daunting but if Justapedia puts something on the Feature Showcase that could accurately highlight systemic biases of Wikipedia without getting tainted by alt-right labels, such as Jewish or indigenous topics, a critical mass of editors could form which will make Justapedia go big.

For now, there is still a lot of room for Justapedia to prove itself as it's still premature yet.
Those Justipedia editors, all 37 of them (as in there are only 37 of em) , better get working - sanger droppings are redonculous.

It's their money and time to waste. Besides, you never know, some good might come of it. (Nothing good has EVER come from Metapedia that I know of, yet it continues.)

From Justipedia's site
Wikipedia has received more than its share of criticism relative to lacking objectivity, being used as a weapon, and for having a left–far left bias that is unacceptable for a neutral encyclopedia. Mainstream media's criticism ranges from politics to social and medical sciences, including a wide range of topics such as global warming, COVID-19, government and more.
This is very similar to InfoGalactic

As far as I can tell the reason InfoGalactic never went anywhere was because of the sheer volume of mirrored material combined with the lack of manpower to make Google recognize it. Assuming Wikipedia wouldn't manually bury it if it had the chance as well.

I'm not sympathetic to most of the goals of justipedia in general, but if I was I'd wish they would start from scratch.

Fedwiki seems to have the right approach from my opinion https://github.com/fedwiki

But their software has usability problems. A federated Twitter is awful, but a federated Wikipedia would indeed solve edit warring / creeping authoritarianism on the wiki etc

Infogalactic was tainted from the start by association due to Vox Day's well known association with alt-right. In contrast the maker of Justapedia is an established editor with many friends on Wikipedia who is still untouched to this day in terms of blocks/bans.

Google aint gonna put Justapedia on even the 7th page of results. I'd say that to any non-huge-corporation who forked all of Wikipedia regardless of political affiliation. Starting off with a death-knell to SEO means the project is dead before it starts imho.

If Justapedia wants to beat wikipedia, they could use generative AI for that
If Justapedia wants to fix wikipedia, they could use some sort of federated system for that. As, unlike Twitter, I think wikis have a very useful role on the internet.

Also justapedia, Wikipedians aren't "left-wingers", they're just 'anti-republican party'

They do let a notable amount of particularly deranged self-identified left-wingers run about and do whatever they want, but only deliquents like antifa types.

Go into their backroom coolers like Wikipediocracy and they spend all day on Democratic neuroses/obsessions like Trump. Then on elections they all say "wow yea I'm personally a left-winger but I'd never vote for one for fear of spoiling the vote, also I watch x y Democratic centrist TV show". They don't care and are actively hostile to actual left-wing causes like land rights, or universal housing.

Democrats have found personal capital in calling themselves left-wingers, socialists blah blah. Look at Biden pretending to be a union organizer starting in his 80s to keep the Sanders vote. It's all a show, smoke and mirrors. Wikipedians are just are petty, mentally ill autists mirroring human behaviour, and, as I was recently informed, playing it like a video game.

Justapedia was started in the immediate aftermath of the Holocaust distortion scandal on Wikipedia. If Justapedia can capitalize on the promise that all distorted articles regarding Holocaust in Poland then they have a good shot. A podcast by Jan Grabowski clearly mentioned that they will have to petition and ask Google and other search engines to de-rank Wikipedia and put fixed contents in its stead.

Google is necessary for views but I don't think petitioning them will do anything. I've seen senators petition them to no avail. Even if they deranked Wikipedia, they'd still prioritize shady "digital journalism" outlets from weird miillionaires no one knows anything about. And also prioritize clickbait over dedicated websites and actual experts.

I now only use duckduckgo but it's not much better. Yacy is the best, but unfortunately hasn't indexed much.

Wikipedia is mostly about Google - Google is the entity that needs to be replaced or supplanted.

Wikipedia - "Barely competent and paranoid. There’s a hell of a combination."
