It's the first live show of the Well There's Your Problem podcast's recent tour. This was at Sony Hall on Broadway.

I might post the others here if I can find them when they show up.

For the uninitiated, this is what they sound like normally:

A podcast where the majority of the members plus the guest are lapsed Catholics, talking about the structure of the Catholic Church plus all the cathedrals they have built, and also what a trainwreck sections of the Church have been (the guest, Alea Kootz, grew up in a bizarre Catholic cult community in Arkansas, but escaped to a space science career.)

Because Justin Roczniak is the Quiet King of The Foamers, they spent three episodes laying out the history of the Pennsylvania Central railroad, including the gauge wars, how computerization of rail freight was bodged, the "secret" air company they ran in the 1960s, ect.

The Penn Central makes a great target for satire. Once among the largest railroads in the world, crashed into the ground by savagely incompetent management despite having a near-license to print money. More people should take shots at the "Pennsy". (Of course they won't as it's now "ancient history" and so forth.)

Also: holy crap those guys are fat. Guess all the jokes about drinking on the job aren't jokes.

Roczniak* doesn't have a car and bikes/public transports around Philadelphia. Liam** was a horse addict at one point years ago; he does social work now (was an IT guy for "Pep Boys" two years ago), drives a GTI.

Do you know how many bars there are in Filthadephia? HUNDREDS.*** For a town that has state-run hard liquor stores, it was very easy to get booze because every corner had a bodega that sold beer to hard lemonade. If I wanted to get wasted it was very easy for me to do that. So I do not verbally rubberneck about how fat they are because of my knowledge of how easy it is to get cheesesteaks and beer every day and how easy it is to become a human ruin living in that jawn. I lost weight in Pretzeldephia from all the walking and stress from the idiots I lived with.

***A small sample: Tattoed Mom's, Dirty Frank's, Two Moon Saloon, all the joints on South Street, Temple University's pizza restaurant had a bar attached. None of them were as cool as the Tube Bar in NYC of the immortal prank calls. Sawdust on the floor, no chairs, "no women allowed", run by a WWI veteran with a voice like a gravel crusher.
