Long, difficult and disgusting reading. Is this the perfect expression of corporate arrogance? Because many firms have tried to do this before, and failed--without government support/funding it's apparently hopeless. The Thuraya satphone system only exists because the UAE's sheiks were tired of having people spy on their communications, "Supposedly". Because of course Iridium and Inmarsat are in bed with the NSA and the Five Eyes spooks.

Plus, Inmarsat and Iridium are "specially protected" by the US and UK governments.....because the US and UK governments are their major customers. This little fact is rarely noticed.

Oh btw, did you know the Chinese government has already cracked satphone encryption? Explains all kinds of things.
