I'm SHOCKED. r/wikipediavandalism is still in operation. I figured it would have been killed off by endless complaints by Wiki-Whores long ago and stayed killed. Seem to recall its early years were full of fights.

If you are seeking bad article content, that's a good place to check.

Hey man...today someone posted this stupid suck-up to Steve Pruitt aka "Ser Amantio di Nicolao".

https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasf ... dia_edits/

People started complaining, and it was deleted from the subreddit--you can still see it but only if you have the full URL.

Ha ha.

Redditors are just as stupid and conformist as any other internet "subclass".

This video has been reposted dozens of times in the last two days, in dozens of assorted subreddits. Why? Karma farming my ass.

I think it USED to be good. Comments from 15 years ago were almost always insightful; comments from 9 years were usually insightful; comments from 5 years ago were mixed; comments from 3 years ago were mostly low-quality, but there were still plenty of good ones. Now there are just all garbage outside of technical/help subreddits.

This looks like yet another example of a thread being deleted over and over, because "somebody complained". It keeps appearing and disappearing. I wonder if two moderators are fighting.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comm ... een_while/

Funniest part: virtually none of the disturbing content they described is still on Reddit today. It was mostly posted in subreddits that were banned years ago.

You think that's bad? Take a look at the deletions in this thread.

But serously....it is not unusual to see heavily censored threads in areas like AskReddit, TwoXChromosomes, AMA, worldnews, wallstreetbets, and other popular areas where there's a lot of argumentation and disturbing content. The "best" part is that no one keeps track of how much censorship there is, and they certainly do not release public summaries of it.

One time a found a comment that had been removed by Reddit's legal department. So I went to reveddit.com (which is a site that captures *some* Reddit posts/comments before they are removed, deleted, or edited. Kind of like archive.org or archive.today.). The content was (and I quote) "city people deserve crime". While this is moderately offensive, I don't see how it was so severe that it had to be removed by their staff.

Edit: Here is the comment. Unfortunately, neither reveddit.com nor unddit.com are working right now.
