however you feel about American politics in 2020 in the wake of the failed impeachment and upcoming election, please believe one thing:
Charlie Kirk is obviously a slimy little shit.

He is not "little." Definitely a big shit. And it is not appropriate to refer to a person by their penis size. Really, Eric, have you no shame?ericbarbour wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 8:22 pmhowever you feel about American politics in 2020 in the wake of the failed impeachment and upcoming election, please believe one thing:

It remains to be seen if the impeachment "failed." Yes, the Poisident was not convicted, which was quite a long shot, but it remains to be seen what the effect of the impeachment will be in this year's election.
I will say this: I've been a life-long Democratic voter, but I never before was so concerned about a "Republican." It wasn't a swear word for me. To be sure, Romney has maintained a shred of respect, bless him. But the year ahead is truly dangerous.
There are basic flaws in the American system, and few really understand them. It may take generations to fix, if ever. Everyone is too busy reacting to the latest Bad News.
Pelosi for President. (Though I would not wish the burden on her. If we had a real democracy, we would not elect the President, we would elect personally trusted representatives, and they would hire the executive, like any sane corporation.)

We ought to mention the dislike certain media outlets have for Sanders--it's difficult to claim this is a 'conspiracy theory' by now (mostly right-wing outlets have been snickering about it but not anymore).

Re: The (new, straight-from-scratch) Trump thread
Well, I participated in this, which I regret. We are, here, repeating trolling which essentially lies, with irrelevant (not merely irreverent) satire.
In the Wikipedia-critical field this is what has kept critique from being effective, it mostly transformed into trolling, including trolling of any effective critics.
I am not involved in internet political activism on the level of personalities, though I certainly have plenty of opinions. (So I did not recognize "Charlie Kirk.")
I'm far more interested in political structure, to the vast amusement of certain wikipediots. Charkle Kirk and his organization are best addressed with the truth and solidarity in trusting the truth, and with satire that is actually humorous and that does not descend into hatred and contempt. I can admire his willingness to be outspoken and engage in controversy, while considering his opinions to be delusional or maybe even worse.

Re: The (new, straight-from-scratch) Trump thread
.....And now "Mr. Meat Sweats" Steve Bannon has been indicted for his "We Build the Wall" crowdfunding scam. He and three others were nailed by USPS postal inspectors. From the DOJ press release:
Audrey Strauss, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and Philip R. Bartlett, Inspector-in-Charge of the New York Field Office of the United States Postal Inspection Service (“USPIS”), announced the unsealing of an indictment charging BRIAN KOLFAGE, STEPHEN BANNON, ANDREW BADOLATO, and TIMOTHY SHEA for their roles in defrauding hundreds of thousands of donors in connection with an online crowdfunding campaign known as “We Build the Wall” that raised more than $25 million. The defendants were arrested this morning. KOLFAGE will be presented today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Hope T. Cannon in the Northern District of Florida. BANNON will be presented today in the Southern District of New York. BADOLATO will be presented today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Wilson in the Middle District of Florida. SHEA will be presented today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kristen L. Mix in the District of Colorado. The case is assigned to U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres in the Southern District of New York.
Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said: “As alleged, the defendants defrauded hundreds of thousands of donors, capitalizing on their interest in funding a border wall to raise millions of dollars, under the false pretense that all of that money would be spent on construction. While repeatedly assuring donors that Brian Kolfage, the founder and public face of We Build the Wall, would not be paid a cent, the defendants secretly schemed to pass hundreds of thousands of dollars to Kolfage, which he used to fund his lavish lifestyle. We thank the USPIS for their partnership in investigating this case, and we remain dedicated to rooting out and prosecuting fraud wherever we find it.”

T_d is long gone, but TinyTrumps is still being updated.....things have changed since 2017.Strelnikov wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2017 12:52 amI still think that Reddit will kick that subreddit to the curb once Trump implodes; they keep up the game of kicking out, bringing back, or bringing new mods on (they just added nine today). With what we know about the high secret-shill factor of Reddit, I would not be surprised if a big chuck of the /r/The_Donald userbase are just sock accounts run by a gang of twentysomething "failsons" following orders from some bald backroom suit inside the GOP.ericbarbour wrote:I bet r/the_donald is snarling about this right now--and organizing "raids" on it.
