remarkable. dollars to donuts the wikipedians complained to Spectator
Complained? The Spectator is a notoriously conservative publication. That applies to the UK, US and Australian editions. Boris Johnson was their UK editor 20 years ago.

More likely the WMF or one of its law firms made legal threats. They sue or are sued routinely, and we will never know further details. What little we do know about is listed on this self-congratulatory article. Nothing they do would surprise me anymore. Cults go all-out to silence their critics.

Did you really think that would work? Despite being hated by hundreds of insiders, Gerard didn't spend the last 20 years drilling into their corrupt little culture merely for "entertainment". He still has protectors who will do his bidding.

That's correct. They pulled it down due to abundance of caution as expressed by their senior editor. Now the author is trying to put it into other publications though.

By now Elon Musk has shared it.

My only beef with this is the writer's support for Reason magazine in the Mark Ames vs. Reason slipfight of 2014, which is hard to find online now because Ames' half was published on the now-defunct Pando website. I know I've written about it here before.

https://majorityreportradio.com/2014/07 ... -the-kochs
Above: Ames talking to Sam Seder in 2014 about the article on Seder's show.

https://archive.org/details/pdfy-qDYkCJZp968ltoLM <+++ Meet Charles Koch's Brain, the Ames-written NSFW Magazine piece on Reason's owner, Charles Koch, and where all his Libertarian ideas come from, the now-dead "guru" Robert LeFevre (ex-I AM cult member, 1930s scab, FBI snitch, sex cultist, founder of the whites-only Freedom School that became Rampart College).
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

HA HA HA HA
Oh, that's a GOOD one. Musk just tweets without checking. As usual, what a buttplug.

Wales INSTALLED GERARD IN 2004. He LIKED Gerard, at least for the first several years. Gave him all kinds of special privileges. Gerard was one of the first checkuser/oversighters, and he took those rights and abused them constantly throughout the 2000s.

Musk should keep his blowhard opinions to himself when he clearly knows NOTHING about the situation.

There was some amazing stuff on Pando--it rattled a lot of jimbos. Actually Ames started out at NSFW Corp, which was later folded into Pando. It only lasted a few months in 2013. Dig thru the archives if you have the patience. (You can't learn anything about NSFWCorp on Wikipedia and I wonder why. This is literally all they have.) Not tnat any of it matters. Pando was crashed into the ground for "daring" to criticize Silicon Valley jerkwads.
