International plane and ship hijackings, embassy and culture center bombings, massacres at Olympics, etc. You think people didn't know what this was supposed to be about?
The media avoid talking about I/P, or at least particular aspects of it. They don't ignore it entirely but a pending genocide case against Israel and the activities of the pro-Israel lobby should factor largely into political debate and the news cycle, considering the west sponsors Israel with lots of public money. Can't say I've ever heard of a Nakba museum here in the USA either. The holocaust receives extensive coverage in public education too, particularly secondary education.
