Re: He gone
They closed and archived the recall request. Nothing happened. It is quite possible that NO action will be taken.
Bbb has not done anything since the 9th. If he logs in and starts reverting/banning, THEN you will know it failed. Do not expect any public announcement.
Also don't be surprised if somebody tries to open an Arbcom case about Bbb23--and Arbcom ignores or dismisses it, because Bbb23 is a "special little magical critter" who much be protected at all costs. They have done very similar things before.

Re: He gone
After the recall request was certified and closed, the babbling continued in a fresh AN thread.

Re: He gone
Beeb logged in twice since the 9th, on the 13th and the 18th, just to remove some blabbering on his talkpage. NO ONE is allowed to point out that Beeb has a long history of abuse. Obviously he only wants to see supporters here.

Re: He gone
I have a technical question.
Reading Bbb23, 6.Jun.2025, @ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... call/Bbb23 :
So, why the fuck is there neither any RfA found, nor has any removal taken place?
Reading Bbb23, 6.Jun.2025, @ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... call/Bbb23 :
But Bbb23 is still, now 22.Jun.2025, an "Administrator" ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... s/Active#BIf the required 25 signatures is reached, I do not intend to stand for re-election. If I understand the process, my bit will be removed sometime after that. I will then retire from editing Wikipedia. ...

Re: He gone
I think Bbb23 just won't edit and will become an inactive account. Inactive accounts lose their admin privileges.DexterPointy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 6:34 amI have a technical question.

Re: He gone
Usually they do, and it might take months or years. Don't be a bit surprised if he and his supporters are just waiting for the stink to blow over. He's OBSESSED, he won't just drop his account and leave.
I would expect that he also has a few dozen sock accounts lined up and ready to go to RFA, in case they do desysop him. The level of corruption and favoritism isn't as bad as in the 2005-2012 period, but it's still somewhere around the Chicago-in-the-1930s range. Bribe your alderman and pay the neighborhood protection racket or something bad will happen to your business. That kind of thing.

There's very little "if" to the question of desysop'ing Bbb23, because:ericbarbour wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 2:30 am... I would expect that he also has a few dozen sock accounts lined up and ready to go to RFA, in case they do desysop him. ....
From the Closing section, in the description of the Administrator Recall petition process, then: Bbb2 is required to make a re-request for adminship or stand as a candidate in an administrator election if he want to remain an admin.
Currently: The only way Bbb23 can avoid being desysop'ed is by actively being confirmed through an RfA.
An RfA can be created by nearly anyone. (and if so done, then it's likely to be amongst the shortest RfAs in history)
